Position Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of operating CNC machines and possess excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Position Objectives
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as necessary
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintain machines and equipment by performing routine maintenance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining
- Solid knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and fixturing
- Excellent understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing them in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible hours as needed
